Thursday, June 30th at the Tennant-Baker House in Troy beginning at 6:30 pm.
Get an introduction to Reverend Thomas and Sarah Johnson, an engaging couple who began their missionary work with the Shawnee in 1830. Meet them at a turbulent time in Kansas history, long after they established the first Shawnee Indian Mission School, when two sons are a war, and danger is everywhere. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets to sit on the lawn of the historical home on the square in Troy.
All Ages Are Welcome!!!

Summer Reading 2016
We’re busy planning for summer fun at the library with the Summer Reading theme – On Your Mark, Get Set, Read! We’ll be focused this summer on programs to get fit, active, and healthy in body and mind. Our first big event is our Summer Reading Kick-Off Carnival. On May 21st from 11am to 1pm, we’re closing the street in front of the Troy Library so that you can play games, win prizes, eat free lunch, and get signed up for summer reading. We would love to see the whole county come out and celebrate the beginning of summer with us. Mark your calendars! It’s gonna be a great way to start Summer Reading at the library.
